The Difference Between Projects and Proposals

These two share the same underlying database and structure. Think of them as siblings.

The primary difference is their reporting and printing.

Proposals don't have:

  • Financial Profitability Reports
  • Invoices and Income
  • Time Tracking by Phase or Billing Rate

Project don't have:

  • Contract terms and conditions
  • Print layout formatted for your client to sign

Other than that, they share the same structure around phases, roles & rates, consultants, and staffing budgets.

This is why we can create a Project from a Proposal with a simple click of a button.
