Can Invoices Be Created in QuickBooks and Pulled Into BaseBuilders?

No. Invoices can only flow from BaseBuilders to QuickBooks — never the other direction.

Why This Isn't Supported

QuickBooks has no concept of BaseBuilders' project, phase, activity, and billing rate structure. An invoice created directly in QuickBooks wouldn't carry any of that information with it, since QuickBooks simply doesn't have it to give. Without a project, phase, and billing rate breakdown, an invoice pulled from QuickBooks couldn't be properly represented in BaseBuilders.

What Does Work

Once an invoice is pushed from BaseBuilders to QuickBooks and linked, BaseBuilders can read data back from that linked QuickBooks invoice — for example, to detect when it's out of sync with the original. This is different from creating a new invoice in QuickBooks and pulling it in as a new record; it only applies to an invoice that originated in BaseBuilders and was pushed over.

Summary

Invoices can only be created in BaseBuilders and pushed to QuickBooks — they cannot be created in QuickBooks and pulled into BaseBuilders, since QuickBooks has no structure for the project, phase, activity, and billing rate data an invoice depends on. BaseBuilders can read data back from an invoice it already pushed and linked, but this does not extend to invoices originating in QuickBooks.
