Merge Contacts

This walkthrough demonstrates how to merge duplicate contact records in our address book. Select two companies, choose which one will be the survivor, review and resolve data conflicts, and confirm the final merge. The result is a single consolidated contact record with all linked data properly reassigned and no information lost.

Clean Up Duplicate Contacts in Minutes

Here is how to merge two contact records so every linked record points to the right place — no lost data, no loose ends.

Kick off the merge process by opening the contact merge tool.

Choose the two contacts and compare their information to make sure you have the right records.

Use the Swap button to change the direction of the merge.


Click Choose Values to go to Step 2, where you select which values to keep and which to override.

Select the values you want to preserve. Then head to the final step, read the notifications, and confirm or cancel.
