Staff Directory

Here is a place to see your staff with and without financial information depending upon your access level.

What limited users can see

Limited users have read-only access to the Staff Directory.

They can view basic staff information, including:

  • Name

  • Title

  • Phone number

  • Email address

Limited users do not see an edit button and cannot make changes to staff records.

What financial users can see

Advanced users may see additional staff information, depending on their permissions.

This can include:

  • Staff status history

  • Administrative details

  • Assigned access group

  • Start date

  • End date

  • Compensation information

  • Internal staff notes

Access to sensitive information, especially compensation details, is controlled by your access group settings.

Controlling staff directory permissions

Staff Directory access is managed through access groups.

To review or change access:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Manage Access Groups.

  3. Choose the access group you want to review.

  4. Find the Staff Directory permissions.

  5. Adjust what that group can view or edit.

For limited users, access to the Staff Directory is read-only.

For financial-level users and other higher-access users, you can control whether they can:

  • View staff details

  • View labor cost or compensation information

  • Edit compensation or labor cost information

This allows you to show general staff information while keeping confidential financial information restricted.

Hiding compensation information

Compensation visibility can be turned off for users who do not need access to that information.

For example, you may allow a user to view staff records but prevent them from seeing labor cost or compensation details. You can also prevent them from editing compensation information entirely.

This gives administrators control over who can see and manage sensitive staff data.

Staff notes

Staff records can also include internal notes.

These notes can be used for HR-related comments or other internal information about a staff member.

Because these notes may contain confidential information, they are typically available only to financial users, super administrators, or other users with the appropriate access group permissions.

Key things to know

The Staff Directory is permission-based.

Limited users can only view basic contact information.

Financial users may have access to more detailed staff information.

Compensation and labor cost visibility can be controlled separately.

Staff notes should be treated as confidential and limited to the appropriate users.
