General Settings
The General Settings area allows you to control naming conventions, formatting, numbering schemes, reporting defaults, and system appearance. They set the foundation for how your system behaves and appears. Getting it right upfront ensures consistency across projects, invoices, and reporting.
To access it:
Click your name in the lower-left corner → Settings → General Settings
Phase Naming
You can customize what your firm calls “phases.”
Enter your preferred term in singular form
Optionally define a custom plural
Example:
Singular: Activity
Plural: Activities (instead of the system default adding “s”)
If no plural is defined, the system will automatically append “s.”
Currency & Regional Settings
You can configure:
Currency
Language / region format
(e.g., U.S., Canadian, UK, Spanish formats)
Phone Number Formatting
Define how phone numbers are stored and displayed.
Use # symbols as placeholders
Enter numbers normally—the system formats them automatically
Example format:
(###) ###-####
Each # is replaced with the digits entered.
Numbering
This section controls how projects, proposals, and invoices are numbered.
Project Numbers
Enable or disable auto-generation
Set a starting number
Define a format
You can include:
Serial number
2-digit or 4-digit year
Month or day
Example format:
YY[3]
Result: 25001, 25002, etc.
Proposal Numbers
Works the same as project numbering.
You can add prefixes (e.g., CP-)
Customize year format and sequence length
Example:
CP-YY[3]
Result: CP-25001
Invoice Numbers
Flexible formatting based on your workflow.
Common approach:
Project Number + Separator + Invoice Sequence
Example: [P]-[2]
25001-01
25001-02
You can:
Control the number of digits (e.g., 2 digits = up to 99 invoices)
Set a starting number
Remove the project number entirely if not needed
